About SimpleShuttles

SimpleShuttles books group charter buses in all 50 states: one all-in price in seconds, a vetted independent operator, and the legwork handled from booking to drop-off.

We’re an early-stage startup. The product is built and live, the company is founder-run today, and the next few hires will shape what it becomes. We exist to serve our customers and to serve our operators, and we win on transparency: no hidden fees, no fine print, no surprises for either side.

The role

Most of our customers book a bus a few times a year: a school’s field trips, a wedding’s shuttles, a team’s away games, a company’s offsite. What they want is one person who picks up the phone, knows their trip and makes sure the bus shows up. Today that person is the founder. This role takes it over and grows it.

It’s a hybrid on purpose: part sales, part service, part operations. You’d work the quotes that come in, close the ones that fit, and stay the customer’s person until the group is home. The price comes from our pricing engine, not from you, so the job is earning the trip, not haggling over it.

What you’d do

  • Work every quote that comes in: call or email within minutes, answer the questions, help the group book the right bus.
  • Follow up with groups that priced a trip and didn’t book, and find out why.
  • Stay the point of contact from deposit to drop-off: changes, added stops, the day-before confirmation, the call when something’s off.
  • Bring groups back. A school that booked once should book its whole year with us.
  • Take the first complaints yourself, settle them fairly, and tell us what to fix.
  • Keep the console honest: notes, outcomes, last contact, so anyone can pick up a customer cold.
  • Tell the founder and the engineers what customers keep asking for.

Your first 90 days

  1. 01Days 1 to 30: shadow the founder on every quote and every live trip. Learn the console, the bus sizes and the policies cold.
  2. 02Days 31 to 60: own the inbound quotes and the day-of phone, with the founder as backup.
  3. 03Days 61 to 90: own a book of repeat customers and the follow-up on every unbooked quote, and propose the first change to how we sell.

You might be a fit if

  • You’ve done account management, inside sales, hospitality, dispatch, event planning or travel, and customers asked for you by name.
  • You pick up the phone first and write a clear email second.
  • You like a target, and you also like a thank-you note. Both matter here.
  • You’d rather tell a customer an honest no than a hopeful maybe.
  • You’re organized enough that nothing slips, and calm enough for the 6 a.m. call that a bus is running late.
  • Charter, motorcoach or group-travel experience is a plus, not a must.

Probably not for you if

  • You want a pure closing role, with a handoff to someone else after the sale.
  • You need a script, a dialer and a daily call count to feel on track.
  • You’d rather not be the one who answers when a trip goes wrong.

What you get

A founding seatYou’d be one of the first people here, working directly with the founder, with real say over how your function gets built.
EquityEarly hires own a piece of what they build.
Remote-firstWork where you live. Our trips run in all 50 states, and so do our operators.
A product that already worksA live booking site, an operator portal and an ops console, all in production. You’re not waiting on a build.
The stage, said plainlyWe’re small and pre-scale, and we say so. You’ll always know where the business stands.

How hiring works

  1. 01Send your resume with the role in the subject line. A few lines on why you want this one beat a cover letter.
  2. 02A person reads it and replies. Every resume gets an answer from someone, not a system.
  3. 03A 30-minute call with the founder: the role, where the business stands, your questions.
  4. 04A working session on a real problem from the job. A couple of hours, not a take-home project.
  5. 05References, then a written offer with everything spelled out.
